What is a Virtual Assistant?

A virtual assistant, as the name suggests, carries out secretarial and administrative work for businesses and individuals.  This work is usually carried out from their own place of business although some do offer on-site support.

As well as working virtually, I can provide on-site support, to local businesses or individuals, if required.

What are the benefits of using a Virtual Assistant?

Whilst homeworking is becoming increasingly popular and more cost effective, the benefits of using the services of a Virtual Assistant go beyond this.  The main advantages are:-

• Virtual Assistants are self-employed and are therefore responsible for their own contributions.
• There is no requirement for the usual employee benefits of holiday and sick pay.
• Virtual Assistants are only paid for the hours worked - you can use their services as much or as little as you need.
• Virtual Assistants provide greater flexibility, often being available outside normal working hours.
• Virtual Assistants use their own resources and stationery.

What about security?

My system is backed up off-site with Dell.  I also carry out a daily back-up on an external hard drive and have the latest internet security software installed.
